This is one of the most fun, action-packed, and original games I have ever played! An impressive mix of story, cool visuals, and action make this a seriously fun GameCube game that is not to be passed up!The story starts out with Joe and his girlfriend, Silvia, at the movies watching Joe's favorite superhero, Captain Blue. But things really get crazy when the movie villain snatches up Silvia and drags her into the movie itself! With the aid of Captain Blue, Joe must journey through the vast movie world to save his girlfriend from the clutches of evil. But Joe won't go unarmed. Captain Blue bestows upon him the mighty power of VFX, which allows him to slow things down, blast into Mach Speed, and zoom in on attacks, for mighty powerhouse moves and attacks that will let him plow through hundreds of enemies and bosses. Racking up moves and attacks will grant you 'Viewtifuls', which are like experience points. Use them to buy attacks like the Voomerang, which lets you take the 'V' emblem off your helmet and throw it like a boomerang. Use powerhouse combos to tear through even the toughest foes.

I haven't done it yet, but after you beat this game in different modes, you can play as a few other characters, including Silvia herself!

The story is good, although sometimes there is a really wierd plot.

This game just rocks. It's one of the best titles for the Gamecube.

I played this game once, and I put it down about 15 minutes later. What I didn't like about this game is the "showoffy" main character, and the cliche plot. These 2 things alone add up to a sucky game. The only thing I liked about it are the controls. They're easy to memorize. This game is only worth renting.Customer Review: best game ever!!!!!!!

This game is the best game ever created and makes a great gift. You should buy this game if your an expert gamer because this game is really hard. I got this game on christmas and i'm only on episode 2! All together this is is a great game! Go buy this game!

Capcom has undoubtedly released many a great game throughout the years. With the Resident Evil and Megaman series taking up most of the spotlight, it didn't seem like any other mascots could squeeze in. Enter Viewtiful Joe; the extremely fun and slightly difficult 2D/3D adventure for the Nintendo Gamecube.
The story begins with Joe, a movie fanatic, and his perky girlfriend Silvia enjoying a day at the movies. However, things go awry when one of the onscreen villains snatches Silvia and holds her captive in the movie world.
This is where the fun starts. As Joe, you must learn the ways of a superhero to overcome the evildoers and rescue Silvia. While the plot may not be the best for a game, the gameplay certainly is.
The innovative control scheme and Zoom, Slow Down and Fast options only add to the already fun beat-em-up style of the game. In short, Viewtiful Joe is quite unlike anything you've ever seen and brings a new level of fun to video games.
