the best action packed puzzle solving game ever! humorus and fun to play, capcom, a job well done!
music: 10/10 great rhythm and beat that matches the surroundings perfectly

bosses:9/10 can get challenging
violence:5/10 not that cool, and the exploshins are kinda lame, but still great game

Capcom put the sidescrolling of Street Fighter, and the cool moves of Devil May Cry in this explosive action/adventure for Gamecube
Cons:
The boss battles can get REALLY challenging
I hate running out of lives(Then I have to do everything all over again)
I'm stuck on the pert when you have to face silcer versions of the magma boss(The're for-jorkin' impossible)
When I bought this game, I thought it was gonna be stupid, simply because I almost judged a book by it's cover. When I played it, I wonder why I didn't get it sooner? Well I got it for 19 bux which is lower than this game's worth, but hey I'm a proud owner of it. If you have a cube or a PS2(Which it recently came out on), and love action/fighting games, you have to get this game.

There's a reason this game won awards and acclaim from every video-gaming site, magazine, and show out there: because it's that damn good.
It's a superhero beat'em-up with style, and substance. The VFX powers (zoom, slow, mach) are more than just gimmicks; they make the game what it is--insanely cool and fun. This game is like "the Matrix" (the movie) meets "Max Payne", in terms of presentation and innovation, respectively. In terms of pure fun, this game has no equal. The graphics are great if you're into cel-shaded animation. If you're not a fan of cel-shading, you can still enjoy this game. The gameplay is f'n sweet.
Aside from the superb style and gameplay, what sets this game apart from most games these days is the challenge. It's challenging without being (overly) frustrating, and when you defeat a boss, or pass a level, you really feel a great sense of satisfaction for having done so.
All in all, a fantastic game.

This game is simply marvalous. Viewtiful Joe is one of the best Gamecube games out there. I happend to get this game when it first came and I simply loved it. It was well worth the 40$ and I have to say this game is non-stop fun and lots of action. If you like side scrollers then you'll love this game. With a cool Cartoony look and great level desighn it's no wonder Viewtiful Joe is so awesome
The story of the game is pretty wacked out and cool and I won't spoil it but it's really cool.
The graphics are just top notch it ranks up with all those other great cell shaded games. I simply love the graphics and level desighn and the bosses are super cool. Especially the shark boss. VJ's graphics are one of the best out there.
The gameplay is the only reason I even gave it a 5 out of 5 score it just simply rocks. What's great about it is that you can buy new moves and other things which give the game more fun.
The music in the game is great too I loved the level music it went with it. Had kind of a flavor to it if you know what I mean.
Over all Viewtiful is another reason why you have to own a gamecube. The cell Shaded Graphics and gameplay is two main reasons why you will love Viewtiful Joe. Henshin a go go baby!

Ah, yes. After playing this game, I ended up with the coveted "gamers thumb"- and carpal tunnel syndrome. Not since childhood have I been this excited about a game. Just because this is a smack-em-up game, doesn't mean you don't have to use your brain at times. The puzzles in the boards gives a nice breather in between all the mach speed (or slo mo, or zoom-in) action. The game can be difficult at times, but it is so wonderful to watch with the 2-D/3-D cel shading; and so much fun to play with the variety of moves, that you'll WANT to keep trying (and buying special moves with earned points from obliterating enemies). You'll be amazed by the grapics AND the gameplay. Can't wait for VJ2...
